After selecting "Shut off" from the main screen... the "stanfy" option is not available after recently re-installing XP Pro onto a new HD due to a major Trojan Virus.
XP Pro will not permit me to select "standby" mode when shutting system down. Text shows but is light grey colour, meaning you cannot select this option.3 people need an answerI do too

Hello Klompen You have just reinstalled XP.Did you update your video card drivers? If not, please do so as that can cause your problem.
